Today is Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008. There is something special about Easter. Unlike Christmas, Easter is usually celebrated in a quiet and somber mood unlike one characterizing Christmas. This is in remembrance of the death and ressurection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and it befits to slow down and reflect on the meaning of our Saviour's cruel death.
Jesus' death means the sting of death has been defeated and our sins have been taken away by the sacrificial lamb of God. It means we are not under the bondage of sin and Jesus opens a way to our Father's house which is the sole purpose of our life on earth. On this Easter, I pray that I may deeply reflect my life on Jesus' life and live sacrifially following his example.
